Have Americans lost the war against terrorism?

"Oh, say, can you see, by the dawn's early light,
What so proudly we hail'd at the twilight's last gleaming?
Whose broad stripes and bright stars, thro' the perilous fight,
O'er the ramparts we watch'd, were so gallantly streaming?"

This song has much meaning for different people in the United States. It is often sung before sports games, on new years, and among church groups--especially around the fourth of July.  But have you noticed what the song implies?

It speaks of "broad stripes and bright starts."  These are symbols of purity, valor, and justice!  This comes from the flag of the United States of America!

Somehow, this flag has been taken out of homes, destroyed publicly, and sometimes banned from schools!  This makes no sense!  The confederate flag is flown more often than the American flag nowadays.

It seems that America is now being taken over from the inside.  Terrorists of many kinds have been infiltrating our system.  There are some who take lives, but there are many more who steal freedom, liberties, and righteousness.

Personal flags are being cut down:

Rogue apartment managers are requiring the removal of the symbol of freedom:

Even police officers are denied the right to show their patriotism!:

This begs the question: Have Americans already lost the war against terrorism?  They are allowing the terrorists against freedom to destroy our government values.  They are destroying our symbols of hope.  They are diminishing our rights!  This is only the beginning.

What ever happened to presidents of the United States who actually DEFENDED the Americans?  Once, in 1961, it was said,

"...my fellow Americans: ask not what your country can do for you — ask what you can do for your country."

The invitation extended further:

"My fellow citizens of the world: ask not what America will do for you, but what together we can do for the freedom of man."

Don't we want the freedom of man?  Who would not want that?  Only those who wish to have power.  Those who desire money more than brotherhood.  Those who want to terrorize our rights.

What will happen next?  Will Americans step up to the plate and once again ask themselves, "what can I do for my country?" or will they continue to beg the terrorists to dictate what they can and can't do--such as the case with the supreme court ruling fad.

Here's a tip: Don't look to the supreme court to rule this country.  Take control of it yourselves.

This country is not made up by its government!  This country is derived from its citizens!

Courage Award Misplaced?

The Courage Award has been given to very few people.  It obviously requires that a great deal of courage is displayed in order to receive it.  Recently, Jenner was given the award of courage for getting a sex change.  What a great deal of courage it must have taken to spend so much money on one's-self.

Courage is not doing something for yourself, it is doing something right--regardless of consequences.  Getting a sex change is selfish.  It doesn't matter how you try to defend it.  It benefits only one person.  Is that really courageous?  I spend money on myself all the time.  I'm selfish.  Where's my courage award?  Where's my publicity?  Where's my fame?  Where's my money?

Here is true courage.  Look at the following news article: http://www.nbcnews.com/storyline/chattanooga-shooting/chattanooga-shooting-attacker-had-least-three-guns-authorities-say-n394046

There are many un-named officers who combated this act of terror on US soil.  I personally give courage awards to all the officers, military members, and their families.  They gave up their time, their talents, and sometimes their lives to protect other people from getting killed.  THAT takes courage.

If we were to follow the current trend of the "Courage Award," then technically we should be bestowing Mohammad Youssuf Abdulazeez with it.  After all, he selfishly decided that other people don't have the right to live.  He only did what he did out of selfish desires.  Sound familiar?

I'll let you judge... who should have the "Courage Award"?  The people protecting our country and citizens (police force and military alike), a man who decides he wants a different body, or a man who opens fire on innocent American Soldiers and citizens?

Secrets from on High That really aren't Secret at All!

There are many things in life that we wish we knew.  How to be happy.  How to be successful.  How to be rich.  How to be famous.  Well, oddly enough, we have the answers.  Society just chooses to ignore them.  Take a look at these "secrets" of life.

These secrets are lessons learned by our ancestors.  Our grandparents know this.  The Pioneers learned this.  The founders of the United States of America know this!  How did they become successful in their duties?  Besides a firm belief and faith in God, they learned these "secrets":

"happiness doesn’t come as a result of luck or accident. It most certainly doesn’t come from having all of our wishes come true. Happiness doesn’t come from external circumstance.  It comes from the inside—regardless of what is happening around us."  --Dieter F. Uchtdorf

“We play too much. We work too little. We overeat, overdrink, and overplay. We are the richest people in the world, but not the sturdiest. We are at ease in America. And so we need to recapture the spirit of our parents and grandparents.”  - President Ezra Taft Benson
